    About the Institution

    The establishment of PTC-Kidapawan starts as a Provisional Provincial Training Center (PPTC) as part of the Network of TVET Delivery for those provinces without training centers through TESDA Order 034 s. 2020 dated January 15, 2020. It was formally recognized as Provincial Training Center-Kidapawan through TESDA Order No. 226 s. 2021 dated April 19, 2021, “Establishment of Provincial Training Center- Kidapawan and Delisting of the Provincial Training Center- Cotabato City”. This was materialized through the effort of the incumbent Sec. General Isidro S. Lapeña and the support of the Regional Director XII- Rafael Y. Abrogar II, North Cotabato Provincial Director- Norayah A. Acas, and Carmelo A. Luzon – Training Center Administrator.

    The PTC-Kidapawan spans a total floor area of 5,000 square meters. It includes a variety of classrooms and shop rooms where trainees can develop their skills across different training programs. The center's design offers ample space and modern facilities to facilitate efficient learning and hands-on practical experience.

    The office was first headed by Franklin R. Beltran, Senior TESDS as Acting Administrator. Its first permanent personnel are Mr. Ronald D. Superioridad, TESDS II who assumed office on January 5, 2021. On April 2021, with the delisting of PTC-Cotabato City the following personnel from PTC-Cotabato City transferred to PTC-Kidapawan to wit: Ruwaida M. Ampatua Administrative Staff VI Designate as Registrar, Nursiba Bekiri – HRMO, Tito D. Mullet - Trainer. Jonna Joy L. Ocera was hired as TESDS I on August 2021. On September 2021, Carmelo A. Luzon, Supervising TESDS assumed office as the new Acting Administrator of PTC- Kidapawan. Moreover, on October 2021 the office hired an additional TESDS II in the person of Romulo O. Hernan. Currently the office is manned by 7 full time personnel including its Administrator and seven Administrative and Technical Support Staff on a Job Order status.

    The training center of PTC-Kidapawan is located at the Capitol Compound, Amas, Kidapawan City. The establishment of the training center inside the Capitol Cpd. was materialized and formalized through a Deed of Usufruct and Memorandum of Agreement signed between TESDA represented by the Secretary General, Isidro S. Lapeña and the Provincial Government of Cotabato represented by Gov. Nancy A. Catamco and witnessed by Hon. Congressman Jose “Pingping” Tejada, PD Norayah A. Acas and RD Rafael Y. Abrogar II on September 30, 2021. Its training center was built through training cum production in Carpentry NC II, Masonry NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, and Plumbing NC II. The center was formally inaugurated on June 29, 2022 through the unveiling of the marker with the presence of Secretary General, Isidro S. Lapeña as guest of honour and speaker.

Available courses

This course involves the knowledge, skills and attitudes which consists of competencies that a person must achieve to operate light motor vehicles classified under LTO Restriction code 1 and 2; transport passengers and loads over specified routes to local or district location and collect fare duly authorized by the relevant government agency; comply with local traffic rules and regulations and perform minor vehicle repairs and other minor servicing.
